The Harika Scarf is a celebration of India, covered with a fabulous pattern featuring peacocks, elephants, temples and tribal people. The reverse side has a orange geometric pattern that contrasts beautifully.
Our Kantha Scarf Collection is re-purposed from second hand Sari's in Kolkata, India. Two lengths of Sari are cut, then Kantha stitched together which is a traditional sewing technique from the West Bengal area of India.
The scarves are made by village ladies that come and collect work once a week and take it back to their village, this enables them to work from home taking care of their families and earning a fair-wage. Each scarf has has a different colour or pattern on the reverse side.
